Once again the Double Fifth has come round, the season when zongzi leaves fill the air with fragrance. Amid the gentle patter of the plum rains, the Dragon Boat Festival arrived right on schedule, and this age-old festival, steeped in a profound cultural heritage, seemed to lend even the rain a touch of the lofty, untiring spirit of ceaseless pursuit.
To celebrate the festival and thank employees for their hard work, on June 1 the company prepared Dragon Boat Festival gifts in advance for the entire staff. Neatly lined up as if they, too, were looking forward to being taken home, the rows of festive gift boxes filled the whole company with an atmosphere of joy.
Fine gifts welcomed the festival as the fragrance of zongzi spread all around. From 3 p.m. onward, employees came one after another, full of expectation and laughter, to collect their gifts, and the company handed a present to every employee in person, so that everyone could feel the joy of the Dragon Boat Festival ahead of time. As the saying goes: just as zongzi come in sweet and savoury flavours, so should people stand united as one.
