As May arrives and the Xiaoman (Grain Buds) solar term draws near, temperatures are climbing again — summer is the peak season for fires, making fire prevention all the more important.
To genuinely strengthen employees' fire-safety awareness and firefighting skills and to deepen the summer fire-safety awareness campaign, Zhejiang Xinke Medical Technology Co., Ltd. held a fire drill on May 19 at 12:30 p.m. Nearly 100 employees from across the company took part, and the drill was a complete success.
At 12:30 p.m. the alarm sounded, and employees evacuated quickly and in an orderly manner from the various emergency exits to the open ground. The safety officer explained the types of fire, fire-safety essentials and the classification and appropriate uses of common firefighting equipment, and gave a detailed account of possible incidents in special settings such as laboratories and workshops.
A typical wood fire was then simulated in the open area. After the safety officer demonstrated the proper use of the dry-powder extinguisher, employees from each department took turns operating the equipment themselves.

Employees from every department took an active part in this drill. Through hands-on practice, they set aside the panic that easily arises in the face of fire, further strengthened their safety awareness and improved their ability to save themselves in a fire. The drill was also a self-check of the company's fire-emergency plan — a way of building experience and guarding against trouble before it occurs, providing a stronger safeguard for safe production at the company.
Fire safety is everyone's business — preventing fires depends on us all.
Nothing about fire prevention is trivial: stay alert at all times.
